How do I make a booking for an act I have seen?

Your booking journey with us begins with performer availability and budget. Firstly find an act that you are potentially interested in, then we will check their availability for you. If the particular act is not available for any reason we may be able to recommend or suggest an alternative for you. If the performer you have chosen matches your budgetary expectations then we can move on to the next stage of your booking.

Have I left it too late to book an act?

We deal with bookings for next day, next week, next year or even the year after. We specialise in last minute bookings so whatever you need for whenever you need it just let us know.

What are the payment options?

We can accept all recognised forms of payment including debit or credit card, BACs or Cheque. Payment terms can be discussed at point of booking however generally speaking we would look to take a 50% advance deposit with the remainder payable no later than 14-days before the event date itself.

What other types of service do you offer?

Our portfolio of performers and services are as wide-ranging as your requirements. We offer complimentary services for your special occasion or big day including Photo and Videography, Printing & Design Services, Photobooths / Mirrors and Dancefloors and much more beside.

How long does the act perform for?

You may have a specific timeframe that you wish for the performer to sing for, however generally speaking they will do 2 sets of approx. 45-60 mins as part of an evening performance or 1 x 60-70 mins set if they are a Tribute.

Can we meet you?

YES! We can arrange a meeting in person if required at our Essex based office.

Can we see the act perform?

YES! We can arrange this for you if we have enough notice.

Does the act take requests?

YES! Absolutely – if you have a specific first dance request or genre that you would like to hear during the performance, we can organise this for you. Again, this is time dependant.

How much space does the act need to perform?

Approx 3m square, if a stage is available at your chosen venue this would be ideal however not essential

How far in advance should I contact you?

If you have a specific act in mind, then the further in advance you book the higher the chance of you securing them for your wedding. If you need last minute entertainment, we prnuteode ourselves at Actz that we can always find top quality entertainment at short notice.

What style of music do you offer?

All styles of music can be catered for:- Laid Back Swing, Jazz, Dance, House, Disco, Party, Garage and many more!

Type of musical group:

We offer a wide range of musical groups and singers for every taste. The amount of advance notice given as well as the area the event takes place in will have an impact on what types of musical group are musical available, but you can always contact us at sales@actz.co.uk

Size of musical group:

Up to 5-pce Band available upon request at additional cost.

Is it possible to request something that is not in the repertoire? Do you have your own equipment?

Our artists have access to the widest range of state of the art sound equipment and lighting. For larger events we can also add staging, venue , screens and much more besides.

Are you able to travel?

Actz can provide entertainment all over the world and extensively in Europe.

Is there a charge for travelling?

Each event is priced accordingly. Overnight accommodation may also be required.

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Generally not as we want to focus entirely on making the right impression for you and your guests – however, if timings and logistics allow then there may be the opportunity for more than one performance in the same geographical area.

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

We have a team of dedicated professional entertainment specialists working at Actz. From the point of booking to the day of the event, your enquiry will be handled with the utmost care and attention.

What is the length of time of the act?

Our acts can be booked to perform for the whole day or just a very specific part of it depending on your requirements. Most often we book DJs and Singers as part of the evening reception from – Midnight.

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

Set up time varies depending on venue access and location however generally speaking standard set up is around 60-70 mins including sound check.

Do you charge per hour or per event?

All bookings are priced accordingly dependent on time, location and package. Ad hoc additional timing/changes arrangements can be discussed.

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours

As stated above, ad hoc additional timing / changes arrangements can be discussed. If the discussion is not held ahead of time, and our entertainment has a prior booking, we cannot guarantee that they will stay outside the stated hours – although we would be happy to provide extra entertainment if needed – if enough notice has been given. Extra charges may occur.

How do you charge for extra time?

All bookings are priced accordingly dependent on time, location and package. Ad Hoc additional timing / changes arrangements can be discussed on the day of the booking directly with Tony.
